The Beaches of Sterpaia
Villaggio Mare Verde enjoys a privileged location in the heart of the Sterpaia Coastal Park, one of the most fascinating natural areas of the Etruscan Coast.
This unique stretch of coastline is characterized by golden sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a lush centuries-old pine forest that provides natural shade and coolness during the summer days.
Sterpaia is considered one of the most beautiful seaside areas of the Etruscan Coast, thanks to its long sandy beaches, clear sea and the pine forest that reaches all the way to the shoreline.
The park offers picnic areas, walking and cycling paths through the pine forest leading to the sea, and several beach access points easily reachable by bike or car from the village.
The beaches of Sterpaia are perfect for families with children thanks to the shallow sandy seabed that gently slopes into the sea.
THE COASTAL PARK AND ITS BEACHES
Torre Mozza
Famous for its ancient coastal tower and for the suggestive “natural pool” created by an old submerged barrier. Fine sand, shallow and crystal-clear water. Bars and beach clubs are available, as well as free beach areas.
Carbonifera
A white sandy beach with shallow waters, ideal for families with children. Surrounded by pine forest and equipped with refreshment services. One of the most loved beaches by our guests.
Il Pino
A quiet stretch of free beach with sand dunes and Mediterranean vegetation. Less crowded and perfect for those looking for peace and unspoiled nature.
Mortelliccio
A wide free beach inside the park, surrounded by pine trees and fine golden sand. It offers services, parking areas and facilities.
This is the closest free beach to Villaggio Mare Verde: 3 km by car (7 minutes) or 2.5 km on foot (35 minutes).
Carlappiano
Free beach with pine forest and small dunes, fine sand and clear waters. Seasonal refreshment points are available nearby.
Perelli
A large and quiet beach with both free and equipped areas. Here you will find Pascià Glam Beach, a pet-friendly beach offering umbrellas, sunbeds and a bar.
Distance from the village: 4 km by car (about 6 minutes).
All beaches of the Sterpaia Coastal Park have been awarded the Blue Flag for water quality and services.
Each beach offers toilets, showers and beach bars where you can enjoy local dishes, snacks, ice cream or a drink by the sea.

How to Reach the Beaches
From Villaggio Mare Verde you can reach the beaches of Sterpaia in several ways:
- By car: all beaches have nearby parking areas.
- By bike: cycling paths cross the pine forest all the way to the sea.
- On foot: the free beach of Mortelliccio can be reached in about 30–40 minutes.
Villaggio Mare Verde is the perfect starting point to discover the most beautiful beaches of the Etruscan Coast: crystal-clear sea, unspoiled nature and relaxation for the whole family.
